I started playing in a Metallica tribute band, and needed to learn 40 Metallica songs FAST!! I did not have time to learn it all by ear ,including the solo's, so I splurged and bought almost every Cherry Lane, "play it like it is" Metallica book out there. This company has been releasing these books for over 20 years and the transcriptions are always 98-100% spot on!!!! You will never be disappointing or playing the wrong notes from the songs this company transcribes. They also transcribe for most of the monthly guitar magazine publications in the world, so that should speak for itself!
I love this album but i swear some of these tabs sound slightly off especially in the super shredding and i've had a hard time with the way the harmonies are on orion with 2 guitar tab on same lines i now have the first classic 5 tabs love them but the books are impossible to keep open while playing wish i had a way to get the ringed one
Great transcription os Metallicas master of puppets album. Accurate. Well bound. Heavy gloss paper.
This review is for the Drum edition. Cherry Lane allways does a good job of transcribing current artists. This book is no exception. The transcriber did a great job, every note Lars plays is represented and present. Even the vocal lines are transcribed. The layout follows the album track listing, which doesn't always happen in the guitar editions. I recommend this book to any Metalica fan trying to better understand tempo and rhythm.
This book is a great instructional TAB book for any hardcore Metallica fan. It goes, note for note, through every song as recorded on the Master of Puppets album. This book covers all guitar parts, solos, everything with detials on every bend and slide. This instructional guitar TAB book is a must for anyone wanting to play these songs as they were intended to be played.
A great book for the classic album Master of Puppets. It seems to have all the riffs, but unfortunately I didn't receive the ability to play the riffs like Het and KH! Just get it if you want to try to play like they do.

Only bought this to learn Master of Puppets and bummed that Hetfield's solo after the interlude was omitted. With these "note for note transcription" books, you have to cross reference them with youtube vids and online tabs and decide which version you want to play.
